April in the Garden, 2008, Two Rivers Tribune

April in the Garden from my former yearly contracted column,  Digging The Dirt, published in the Two Rivers Tribune, April, 2008.  ( Link to readable text below images.)

Review of the book, Buried Treasures: Tasty Tubers of the World, starts near the bottom of the first column below.  It is easier to find and read in the plain text version on my Garden Secrets blog.  Scroll down below the article scans for a link.

The full readable text as originally written (not as edited for publication) is available on my Garden Secrets blog. Just click right there where it says Garden Secrets.

Photos available:  Color and black and white scans of the cover of the book,  Buried Treasures, Tasty Tubers of the World, mentioned in the article; and black and white photos of the Jerusalem artichoke flowers, plant, and also of the tubers themselves.  If I spent enough time at it, I might be able to find the original full color versions as well.

Reprint rights available. The article can be broken up into smaller pieces if you are looking for filler.  I am also willing to do a limited amount of rewriting.
